Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park lies in southwestern Uganda and is best known for its gorilla populations. The forest protects approximately 400 mountain gorillas which is estimated to be half of the world’s population. The Park has spent many years desensitizing a small number of gorilla groups so that visitors may safely observe these habituated gorillas and come to better understand these beautiful primates in their natural habitat.
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest not only provides a safe haven for mountain gorillas but it is also home to over 120 other mammals such as chimpanzees, baboons, blue monkeys, mountain elephant, and several antelope species. There are 350 bird species flying from tree to tree always singing and wishing visitors’ safe journeys
